Osceola is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Northeast is on a seven-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Osceola will host Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Osceola made easy work of Seminole and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Warhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Aliyah Lai spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Osceola got a massive performance out of Cassidy Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Allen a new career-high. Jenna Neupaver was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
Allen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Osceola kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seminole only managed two hits.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Northeast and Lakewood, and Northeast kept the tradition alive. Northeast never let Lakewood get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Wednesday.
Danielle Brunner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Baylie Dorr was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ana Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Osceola's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Northeast, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Osceola hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Northeast struggles in that department as they've averaged .386. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Osceola was able to grind out a solid victory over Northeast in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 14-10. Will Osceola repeat their success, or does Northeast has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
