The Seabreeze Sandcrabs will challenge the DeLand Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seabreeze knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully DeLand likes a good challenge.
Seabreeze took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Pine Ridge. Considering the Sandcrabs have won six games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyra McLin was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Chloe Sebastian was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Seabreeze was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, DeLand was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 10-2 to Matanzas. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Payton Mathis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Seabreeze pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for DeLand, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
DeLand's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seabreeze has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for DeLand, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Seabreeze's sizable advantage in that area, DeLand will need to find a way to close that gap.
Seabreeze suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to DeLand in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Seabreeze have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
