Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Farwell Steers walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Lions 69-28 on the road. Farwell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Farwell was led to victory by Kennedi Richey and Isabella Jaime. Richey scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Jaime scored 17 points along with four steals. It was the first time this season that Richey scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Makylee Baldwin, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The win was the 16th in a row for Farwell, bringing their record for this year to 30-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.2 points. As for New Deal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-15.
Farwell will square off against Clarendon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarendon is coming into the matchup with 13 straight wins on the road, so Farwell is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. New Deal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
