Even though the Vacaville Christian Falcons scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, the Highlands Scots still came out on top. Highlands secured a 64-59 W over Vacaville Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Highlands, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Vacaville Christian saw an underclassman step up: Tai Douglas scored 20 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Douglas scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Adam Foreman, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Highlands' victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Vacaville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highlands will challenge Esparto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vacaville Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against San Juan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Juan comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
