First Baptist School had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down the Northwood Academy Chargers 67-51 on Friday. The Hurricanes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Northwood Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Eli Cosman posted 14 points and four steals. Elyjah Oler was another key player, putting up nine points.

First Baptist School's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Northwood Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist School will challenge Porter-Gaud at 8:00 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Porter-Gaud's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
