Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Gunnison Cowboys walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Y on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for Gunnison who now have five in a row.
Y's loss came despite strong showings from Damien Kosinski and Jonathan Thomson. Kosinski gained 221 total yards and a touchdown, while Thomson rushed for 137 yards.
Gunnison's victory was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 17.33 points. As for Y, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Gunnison has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Strasburg at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th. Strasburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 341 points over their last six matchups. Y does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
