The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Fishburne Military has struggled recently with 12 defeats in a row, while Grace Christian will arrive with five straight wins.
Fishburne Military suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-48 walloping at the hands of Stuart Hall. While losing is never fun, Fishburne Military can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Stuart Hall is ranked 135th).
Meanwhile, Grace Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-50 victory over Boys' Home. With that victory, Grace Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Justin Hain continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Cashion, who scored ten points along with six assists and two steals.
Fishburne Military's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Grace Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
