The Wossman Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Brusly Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Wossman is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brusly in Louisiana (Wossman is ranked 47th, while Brusly is ranked 189th).
Wossman unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They suffered a tough 38-15 defeat at the hands of Sterlington. Wossman has struggled against Sterlington recently, as their contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Wossman's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tristen Wooten, who rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Brusly fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past Istrouma 28-26.
Sterlington's victory bumped their season record to 9-1 while Wossman's loss dropped theirs to 8-2.
