The Lincoln Christian Crusaders will challenge the Central City/Centura Kernels at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Lincoln Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Fort Calhoun. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Eilam Bryson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Grant DeHaan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Ian Brester was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Lincoln Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Calhoun only posted a batting average of .235.
Meanwhile, Central City/Centura came tearing into Monday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 9-6.
Like Lincoln Christian, Central City/Centura also got a great game from a two-way player: Colbyn Peters. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Peters was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Vakiner, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Hayden Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Lincoln Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central City/Centura, their record now sits at 23-1.
