It was a good run, but the Seminole Warhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Palm Harbor University, falling 58-28. Seminole was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Seminole lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ava Santore, who scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kyilee Bacheler, who scored six points along with four steals.
Palm Harbor University got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brenna Walters out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Barker, who scored 12 points.
Seminole bumped their record down to 7-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Palm Harbor University, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Seminole will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Largo at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Largo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 back in December of 2023. As for Palm Harbor University, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
