North East is 10-0 against the Braves since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North East Grape Pickers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Iroquois Braves at 7:30 p.m. Iroquois took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on North East, who comes in off a win.
Even though Erie First Christian Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, North East still came out on top. North East took their contest against the 66-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for North East.
Meanwhile, Iroquois came up short against the Bobcats on Friday and fell 60-53.
The losing side was boosted by Devin Brink, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Burroughs, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
North East pushed their record up to 11-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Iroquois, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
Everything went North East's way against the Braves when the teams last played back in January as the Grape Pickers made off with a 56-33 victory. Does North East have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
