The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hutto, who took down 236th ranked Hutto, 35-14. Te'Rel Simmons threw for 58 yards and one touchdown and ran for 88 yards in the win.
Elgin moved up to 197 from 285 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region III District 17. The Wildcats were able to make the jump by beating the Hippos 35-14.
Georgetown's dynamic duo of Jake Hubenak and Ryan Bedford proved tough for Manor to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hubenak threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns and Bedford had 88 yards receiving.
Maurice Samuel was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 101 yards on five carries as Bastrop bested the Mustangs.
Georgetown's Hubenak and Bedford have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hubenak has thrown for 1200 yards this season, while Bedford, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 24 catches for 479 yards. Elgin's Simmons leads the league in rushing yards with 468.
Jason Dean's team extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 17 this week by beating Manor, 43-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Eagles.
