Thornwell's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Sunday. They never let the McCormick Chiefs get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by 15 runs or more this season.

Thornwell's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for McCormick, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Thornwell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chiefs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
