Things were looking good for Roanoke Rapids after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Wake Prep Academy by a score of 3-2.
Bryce Manning put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other pitching news, Roanoke Rapids handed starting duties to Tripp Garner, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Ryan White made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. RJ Williams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Pasquotank County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Holmes, falling 16-1.
Pasquotank County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Roanoke Rapids, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
