Sanford is 9-1 against Tatnall since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sanford Warriors' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Tatnall Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Sanford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 379 points over their last six matchups.
Sanford posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Wilmington Friends 66-25 at home. Given Sanford's advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Wilmington Friends is ranked 31st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sanford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Reeve Sysko was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Tatnall's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They fell 52-43 to Tower Hill.
Sanford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Tatnall, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Sanford strolled past Tatnall when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 52-35. Does Sanford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tatnall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
