Softball Recap: East Pennsboro Makes It Three in a Row at Home

East Pennsboro won against Northeastern on Thursday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Harrisburg Cougars a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

East Pennsboro pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Harrisburg, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, East Pennsboro will head out to challenge Middletown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Raiders have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Harrisburg, they will host Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Shamrocks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
