Meanwhile, Carlsbad waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. Everything went their way against La Costa Canyon as Carlsbad made off with a 67-45 victory. Carlsbad has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.
San Dieguito Academy bumped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Carlsbad, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.
