Roncalli has gone a perfect 6-0 against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Royals will head out to face off against the Braves at 5:30 p.m. Roncalli is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Roncalli had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on Wednesday. The Royals put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 13-1 win. The Royals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Addy Poe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Roncalli got a massive performance out of Natalie Summers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Summers has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elise Baker, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Roncalli always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Bishop Chatard only posted an OBP of .235.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory made sure to put some runs up on the board against Guerin Catholic on Tuesday. The Braves skirted past the Golden Eagles 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Braves have posted against the Golden Eagles since April 3, 2018.
Danica Geyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Lila Epstein also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Roncalli, their record now sits at 4-0.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Roncalli has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, though, as they've been averaging 10.5 hits. Given Roncalli's sizable advantage in that area, the Braves will need to find a way to close that gap.
Roncalli took their victory against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
