Jackson South Side has been on the road for six straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Munford Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Jackson South Side focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Jackson South Side ended up a good deal behind Wayne County and lost 44-27.
Despite their loss, Jackson South Side saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kimora Currie, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals, was perhaps the best of all. Currie hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Felicity Long, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Munford beat Bolton 55-48 last Thursday.
Jackson South Side's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Munford, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything went Jackson South Side's way against Munford in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as Jackson South Side made off with a 67-43 victory. Will Jackson South Side repeat their success, or does Munford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
