Edison gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 victory over the Clovis West Golden Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Chargers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row dating back to last season.
Clovis West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jamar (JJ) Howard, who threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns. 83 of those passing yards were hauled in by Relando Jefferson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Coming up, Edison will face off against Yorba Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clovis West, they will square off against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
