It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Freedom Area had no problem doing just that on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Bishop McCort Crushers. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on six straight.
Tommy Ward was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason O'Donnell, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Freedom Area's record now sits at 16-7. As for Bishop McCort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
As of now, neither Freedom Area nor Bishop McCort have any future games scheduled.
