On Saturday Stratton/Liberty take on Hanover at 1:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
Stratton/Liberty were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Prairie 66-23. Senior Ethan Richmond, who rushed for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Stratton/Liberty's success.
Meanwhile, Hanover gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener. Everything went their way against Cripple Creek-Victor as the squad secured a 56-2 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-2.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. Hanover's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Stratton/Liberty defensive front that amassed 7 sacks against Prairie, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
