HAVELOCK, N.C. -
Havelock (N.C.) snapped the seven-game winning streak of
Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, N.C.), with a 44-20 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Travis Sabdo to
Kyran Bowman in the first quarter, the Rams were up 34-0 at the half.
Havelock expanded its lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal by
Dylan Baker.
The Rams scored 24 points in the second quarter on the way to a win. Havelock scored on a
Jordan Begley touchdown run, a Sabdo touchdown pass to
Matthew Boykin and a touchdown run by Sabdo in the quarter.
The loss comes after Eastern Wayne defeated Eastern Alamance 12-7 last week.
