Meanwhile, Timnath never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greeley Central 38-0. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won three matchups by 38 points or more so far this season.
Timnath had a senior duo take command as Davis Payne gained 115 total yards and two touchdowns and Kyle Nelson rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Payne a new career-high in rushing yards (48).
Northridge's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Timnath, their record is now 4-5.
