The Carrollton Hawks will challenge the Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrollton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Monday, Carrollton made easy work of Pleasant Hill and carried off a 22-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 22 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Hannah Uhles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Carrollton let Hayden McMurtrie and Lauren Flowers run wild. McMurtrie got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Flowers got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. That's the most runs Flowers has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Courtney Waldheuser, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Carrollton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .778. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in 28 consecutive games.
Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg couldn't beat Pittsfield on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Trojans fell just short of the Saukees by a score of 9-8. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Saukees 4-0 in the first period.
Carrollton's win was their 35th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Carrollton beat Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg 5-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2021. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
