Basketball Recap: John Little Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Eno River Academy

Roxboro Community's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the Eno River Academy Bobcats with a 70-64 victory. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 74-72 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Roxboro Community got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Little out in front who posted 21 points. The dominant performance gave Little a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ben Wheeler, who scored 16 points.

Despite the loss, Eno River Academy still got an impressive performance from Sammer Day, who put up 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Davidson, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points.

Roxboro Community moved to 7-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Eno River Academy, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-4.

Roxboro Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-48 win against Excelsior Classical Academy on the 17th. Eno River Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 50-31 defeat against Vance Charter on the 17th.
