Minneapolis entered their tilt with Smith Center on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over the Smith Center Redmen.

Smith Center's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Weltmer, who went 7-for-11 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Weltmer a new career-high in blocks (two). Leah Mckelvey was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Minneapolis' win bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for Smith Center, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Minneapolis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 46-40 loss against Beloit on the 21st. As for Smith Center, they have also already played their next game, a 44-29 victory against Trego on the 21st.
