After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orangeburg Prep, the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Greenwood Christian with points to spare, taking the game 39-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northside Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Northside Christian Academy was led to victory by Maddie Coker and Campbell Childers. Coker scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five steals, while Childers scored seven points along with seven steals and six assists. Childers is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Riah Beckwith, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Northside Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Greenwood Christian, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Northside Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmetto Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Palmetto Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday. As for Greenwood Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakbrook Prep at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Oakbrook Prep is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
