Volleyball Recap: Model Extends Winning Streak to Five

Model came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trion Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

Model never let Trion on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 29-27.

Catherine Betz paced Model's offense, picking up ten kills. Betz got some help from Landry Johnson and her 16 assists. Johnson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Rec, racking up two apiece.

Model's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Trion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Coincidentally, Model and Trion will both be playing Gordon Lee the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
