The Antioch Bears won the last time they faced the Overton Bobcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Antioch took down Overton 54-40.
Jaiden Claybrook continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Christopher Morris, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Overton still got an impressive performance from Kyree Christian, who scored 15 points. William Carter was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Antioch has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Overton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antioch will take on Hunters Lane at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hunters Lane has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21. As for Overton, they will play host again and welcome McGavock, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. McGavock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Overton is ranked 112th).
