The Bergen Catholic Crusaders had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Donovan Catholic at home to the tune of 42-13. The win was familiar territory for Bergen Catholic who now have eight in a row.
Kaj Sanders had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Sanders' longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Naiim Parrish got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Donovan Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Ethan Nicolas rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Bergen Catholic has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Donovan Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Bergen Catholic will face off against Delbarton at TBD on November 28th. Delbarton is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games. Donovan Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
