The Preble Shawnee Arrows had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They suffered a rough 57-36 loss at the hands of Valley View on Monday. Preble Shawnee has not had much luck with Valley View recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Preble Shawnee's loss came despite strong showings from Autumn Smith and Addison Sargent-eckert. Smith dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Sargent-eckert scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Preble Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Valley View, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Preble Shawnee will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-Village at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to face off against Talawanda at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
