The Quitman Panthers will square off against the Forest Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quitman is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Last Friday, Quitman was able to grind out a solid victory over the Bearcats, taking the game 50-40. 50 seems to be a good number for Quitman as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
AUDRIANA HARRIS and KIARRA THOMPSON were among the main playmakers for Quitman as the former scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals and the latter scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. HARRIS is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. AALIYAH NIXON was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Quitman is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
Quitman beat the Bearcats 50-40 in their previous meeting on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quitman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
