Despite the loss, Glen Allen saw an underclassman step up: Faron Friend scored 24 points. That was a full 43.6% of Glen Allen's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kamden Tiller, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Godwin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 56-23 victory over Maggie Walker at home. That looming 56-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Godwin yet this season.
Glen Allen's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Godwin, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
