Faith Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes. The win was a breath of fresh air for Faith Christian Academy as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Faith Christian Academy let Aaron Keesee and Owen Parker run wild. Keesee scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Parker scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Ploetner, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will face off against Westover Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Timberlake Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roanoke Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on March 21st.
