The East Hardy Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 40-25 to Northern. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Hardy has scored all season.
East Hardy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavia Barber, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Barber is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Chloe Miller was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds.
East Hardy's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Northern, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
