The Maxwell Panthers were the 44-39 winner over the Los Molinos Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Maxwell took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Molinos. Maxwell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Los Molinos' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karson Fox led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Fox has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Luke Cantonwine was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Los Molinos, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.
Maxwell will head out on the road to square off against Etna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maxwell is facing Etna at the right time seeing as Etna is stuck on a eight-game losing streak. As for Los Molinos, they will square off against Portola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portola will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Los Molinos surely won't give up without a fight.
