In what's become a running theme this season, the Griffin Bears gave their fans yet another huge  win on Friday. They put the hurt on West Laurens with a sharp  66-44 win. The score was close at the half, but Griffin pulled away in the second half with 37  points.
 It was another big night for  Camiya Starks, who  scored 22 points along with seven  steals and six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Zamiyah Hosley, who  scored 15 points along with seven  assists and five  steals.
 West Laurens' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jarissa Robinson, who  scored 20 points along with five  rebounds.  Brookyln Jackson was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 16 points and 12  rebounds.
 Griffin's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for West Laurens, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griffin won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Spalding at 1:00  p.m.  on January 20th. Spalding is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last five games. West Laurens won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Dodge County at 4:00  p.m.  on January 20th. Dodge County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.2  points per game.
