The Cleveland Storm will head out on the road to take on the Volcano Vista Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Cleveland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 matches -- so hopefully Volcano Vista likes a good challenge.
Cleveland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Hobbs with points to spare, taking the game 92-78. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Volcano Vista entered their tilt with Las Cruces with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Volcano Vista blew past Las Cruces, posting a 73-27 win on the road. Volcano Vista has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.
Cleveland pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Volcano Vista, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.
Cleveland came up short against Volcano Vista in their previous meeting last Saturday, falling 63-56. Can Cleveland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
