The Madison Central Indians will be playing at home against the West Jessamine Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Madison Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Great Crossing. While losing is never fun, Madison Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Great Crossing is ranked first).
Meanwhile, West Jessamine's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fifth straight loss. They fell 75-67 to Shelby County. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Madison Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for West Jessamine, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-11.
