University Lab has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while St. Thomas Aquinas has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Cubs will welcome the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, University Lab put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-2 margin over Madison Prep Academy. Considering the Cubs have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Morgan Singleton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Fontenot, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
University Lab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .677. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, St. Thomas Aquinas earned a 13-9 win over Sumner on Tuesday.
Rylie Inzinna was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Leah Mayeur was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
University Lab's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
