Yerington is a perfect 10-0 against Incline since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will host the Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Incline will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Yerington extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Silver Stage. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Casey Bobrick made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Aubrey Conway and America Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Conway went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Hernandez went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hernandez has posted since back in April of 2024. Yessenia Zarazua was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Yerington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, while Incline put up plenty of runs on April 4th, the same can't be said for North Tahoe. The Highlanders blew past the Lakers 18-0. The contest marked the Highlanders' most dominant victory of the season.
Yerington pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Incline, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Yerington took their victory against Incline in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-4 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
