Norrix's Jovaughn Carver rumbled for the longest rushing play in Southwestern Michigan - East this season in his game against Central last week. Carver's team bested the Bearcats as he sprinted for 53 yards on the play and finished with 120 in all.
Harper Creek extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Gull Lake, 45-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Norrix's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Davian Phillips threw for 57 yards and Bishop Robinson had 32 yards receiving. Carver helped Norrix's passing attack out by catching one ball for 25 yards.
Norrix's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 393 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Robinson has 13 catches for 341 yards. Phillips also leads the league in rushing with 286 yards.
Marshall took down Coldwater 52-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
