Volleyball Recap: Central Crossing Falls to Hamilton Township in First Game of Season

Central Crossing kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Hamilton Township Rangers. The Comets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in August of 2019.

Central Crossing started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Central Crossing's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily Jude, who had 11 digs and three aces, and Lily Snider, who had 14 digs. Jude is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Central Crossing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Groveport-Madison on the 21st. As for Hamilton Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Grove City Christian on the 21st.
