South Bend Washington is 0-1 against Plymouth since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Bend Washington Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for South Bend Washington and five for Plymouth.
South Bend Washington scored first but ultimately less than Glenn in their match on Friday. They took a serious blow against the Falcons, falling 53-20. South Bend Washington was down 39-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Plymouth had to suffer through a rough 46-6 loss at the hands of Concord. While losing is never fun, Plymouth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Concord is ranked 90th).
Despite the defeat, Plymouth saw an underclassman step up: Finnigan Holm rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 2-7.
South Bend Washington suffered a grim 46-24 defeat to Plymouth when the teams last played back in October of 2014. Thankfully for South Bend Washington, Jack Barron (who rushed for 169 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
