On Friday, the Wright Panthers faced the Big Horn Rams in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Wright came out on top against Big Horn by a score of 64-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Big Horn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caleb Gibson. Despite the final result, he scored 35 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gibson has scored all season. Drew Heermann was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Wright has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Big Horn, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.
