Frontier (Hamburg, N.Y.) captured the lead in overtime and held on for a 27-21 victory over
Lockport (N.Y.) on Saturday. The Falcons took the lead for good when
Cameron Coon ran for a touchdown.
The Lions pulled ahead on a passing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 22-6. The Falcons took the lead for good with a touchdown run by Coon in the fifth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Frontier still trailed by 16 points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped FHS pull out the victory.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Hamburg school, which was coming off a 14-7 defeat at the hands of Hamburg in its previous game. The defeat comes as a step back for Lockport, which notched a 30-0 victory over West Seneca West in its previous outing.
