The Westwood Christian Warriors will face off against the Greater Miami Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Westwood Christian entered their tilt with the Dolphins with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Westwood Christian breezed by the Dolphins at home to the tune of 65-29 on Thursday. Given Westwood Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Dolphins are ranked 661st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westwood Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Nadaskay led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden Rosario, who scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Greater Miami Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 69-18 victory over LaProgresiva Presbyterian. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Greater Miami Academy has managed all season.
Westwood Christian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Greater Miami Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Everything went Westwood Christian's way against the Warriors when the teams last played back in December of 2014 as the Warriors made off with a 73-52 win. Will Westwood Christian repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
