Allen East has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They and the Spencerville Bearcats will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Allen East came up short against the Wildcats and fell 68-59.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Logan Helser, who scored 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Clum, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Spencerville stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over New Knoxville. Spencerville pushed the score to 48-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rangers had little chance of recovering from.
Allen East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Spencerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Allen East came up short against the Bearcats when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 66-61. Can Allen East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
