Dallastown has gone a perfect 10-0 against New Oxford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Colonials at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Dallastown 3.7, New Oxford 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Dallastown will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against William Penn on Wednesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bearcats. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.
Carson Meyer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meyer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cade Flinchbaugh, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Matt Eveler also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Dallastown hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as William Penn struck out 12 times.
Meanwhile, New Oxford waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 8-3. With that win, the Colonials brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Like Dallastown, New Oxford also got a great game from a two-way player: Carter Wagaman. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Wagaman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, New Oxford let Gavin Haifley and Tayvon Jacoby run wild. Haifley scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Jacoby scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Dallastown is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for New Oxford, their record is now 8-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dallastown has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like New Oxford struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Dallastown came out on top in a nail-biter against New Oxford in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
